S. Nicholas medallion in terracotta

There is a charter dating from 960AD that describes a stone chapel on the site of the present church, and there may well have been a wooden structure a hundred years or so earlier. More details can be found in the church history booklet, available at the back of church. Excerpts from that booklet, together with more recent photographs, will be placed here shortly.

We are keen to obtain more material relating to the church, particularly during the Second World War period, including the destruction of parts of the building by the last V2 rocket to fall on London. If you have any material, or know where it can be found, please get in touch with Fr Andrew.
